Completing a residential recovery program is a major milestone, but graduation is not the end of the journey. The Hardeman County Graduate Home will give women a stable place to live as they work, save, strengthen healthy routines, and prepare for fully independent living.
The house already exists. Our $20,000 campaign goal is expected to provide the funding needed to complete the remaining repairs and improvements and prepare the Graduate Home for its first residents.
This is not a project waiting to begin. With the final work completed, this house can become a safe, stable home for women taking the next step after residential recovery.
For a woman leaving residential recovery, the transition to independent living can be one of the most important stages of her journey. Graduate housing provides time to establish financial stability, maintain accountability, continue healthy routines, and build confidence before taking the next step on her own.
The major work remaining is practical and achievable. Gifts to the campaign will help address the final needs required to make the house safe, functional, welcoming, and ready to become a home.
Complete the electrical repairs that are among the most important remaining requirements before the Graduate Home can open.
Complete needed heating and cooling work so the home can provide a comfortable living environment throughout the year.
Replace the needed toilet and provide appliances necessary for women to live, cook, and care for the home independently.
Add new light fixtures and complete exterior painting, remodeling, and landscaping that will help transform the property into a welcoming home.
The Hardeman County Graduate Home is not an abstract future project. The house already has hardwood floors, natural light, bedrooms, a kitchen, and the character of a real home. The final investment will help turn what already exists into a place where women can continue rebuilding their lives.
The plan is to initially house six women who have completed the residential recovery program and are ready for the next stage of their journey toward stability and independence.
Every gift moves the project closer to opening day. Together, we can complete the final work and create a Graduate Home where women have the time, stability, and support to build the next chapter of their lives.
